Topic:  These days many countries are facing different problems, so it is better that each country concentrates on solving its own problems, instead of cooperating with other countries. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Most nations face problems like poverty, unemployment, terrorism, drug abuse, etc. Some believe that cooperation from other countries is unnecessary to solve one´s problems. I disagree with this premise as many issues have global ramifications, and it requires cooperation of countries wielding greater global influence.

To initiate, we realize that India, America and Europe have been victims of the illegal narcotics trade. To break the nexus of international drug cartels, choke their money laundering networks and nab them from their safe havens abroad, nations need to be sympathetic to each other´s problems and should act decisively in unison. For example: Drug abuse has negatively affected the lives of the younger generation in many countries, including India and the USA; effective counter measures demand information sharing between state intelligence agencies like the US Federal Bureau of Investigation, Indian Narcotics Bureau and others.

Furthermore, many African countries face problems like civil wars, influx of refugees, frequent famines, etc. that have resulted in extreme poverty. People in these countries are deprived of basic necessities like food, clothing, shelter and medicine. After achieving some political stability, these countries should encourage investment from friendly countries, to create opportunities for gainful employment and economic progress. For example: Bangladesh, once a very poor and politically unstable country, has now through a progressive, stable government, attracted large foreign investments and increased her per capita income very significantly, even surpassing India in 2021. Bangladesh is now a leading exporter of textile fabrics, designer clothing and footwear to developed nations. Hence, cooperation between nations always helps boost global trade and economy, while also fostering global peace.

In conclusion, in the present global order, it is quite certain that it is impossible for a country to exist in isolation. Cordial, mutually beneficial relations with other nations are the way forward. (299 words).
