Topic:Some people believe it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Several pessimists perceive that it is alright to remain in an unhappy situation like a dissatisfactory job or having insufficient money because they feel it is their fate. Others, generally optimists, argue that people must make efforts to sort out bad situations because they deserve a better life. I opine that we must try to come out of bad situations.

Let us start with people who don´t feel they need to come out of bad situations. It may be because they don´t know how to make the situation better. For example: Suppose a person is in a frustrating situation where he is not getting promoted because his English is not good and he doesn´t know how to improve his English. Consoling himself that he at least has a job, he will continue with his depressing situation. There are still some people who know their situation is bad, but they don´t want to come out of it because they feel they deserve the bad situation or it is their fate.

On the other hand, considering the people who opine they shouldn´t wallow in unhappy situations but make efforts to come out of their rut, they are mainly optimists and opportunists. They feel they deserve to be treated well or live-in luxury or ensure they and their families lead comfortable lives. Such people will put in extra efforts to improve their unfavorable situations like take night classes to enhance their qualifications or work two jobs etc. I too am a believer that we should make efforts so we can lead the lives we want to.

In conclusion, while many people may not have the means or the resources to uplift themselves from unhappy situations, a certain amount of hard and smart work and planning can definitely elevate people from their ruts. (301 words).
